Triple Espresso
Triple Espresso...A Highly Caffeinated Comedy: Now at The Southern Theater.
New location...as funny as ever!

Triple Espresso--a highly caffeinated comedy is about...
• Three guys
• A coffee house
• An utter lack of common sense
• Climbing the ladder of success, downwards
• Duststorms in Nebraska
• Dancing in Zaire
• Things that disappear...and reappear
• A gorilla in a music contest
• Hand shadow puppets
• The single most embarrassing moment ever broadcast on live national television
• The funniest show you will see this century!

Triple Espresso tells the story of three guys whose bid for showbiz fame and fortune ended in 4-minutes of magnificent failure on national television. Hugh Butternut, Buzz Maxwell, and Bobby Bean tell their rags-to-rags story earnestly, with hysterical results. Butternut is a musician, a vulnerable soul with a lounge lizard smile; Maxwell is an uncertain magician with an attitude; and Bean is an irrepressible, all-over-the-map entertainer with big dreams. The laughter is infectious and the comedy appeals to everyone from first graders to college students to baby-boomers to grandparents. The Southern Theater is located in the Historic Seven Corners area of the West Bank in Minneapolis.

Santaland Diaries
CRUMPET'S BACK!!! After a sold-out run last December, Frank Theatre has invited Crumpet back to perform THE SANTALAND DIARIES, the stage adaptation of David Sedaris' hilarious account of his stint as a Christmas elf in Macy's "SantaLand" ! The show will run Nov. 25-Dec. 30 at the Assembly of the Woman's Club of Minneapolis, located on Loring Park at 410 Oak Grove Street, Mpls, MN 55403. The production features Twin Cities actor Joe Leary as "Crumpet the Elf," with scenery by Steve Rohde, costumes by Kathy Kohl, lighting by Mike Wangen and sound by Sarah Pickett with assistance from Katharine Horowitz. Frank Theater Artistic Director Wendy Knox directs the production.

SANTALAND DIARIES is a delightfully absurd look at the commercial underbelly of the holiday season. Sedaris' sharp observations about his encounters as an Elf during the season of forced joy have become a delightful cult classic for those looking for a comic antidote to Christmas treacle. David Sedaris is the New York Times best-selling author and National Public Radio humorist known for his essays Me Talk Pretty One Day, When You Are Engulfed in Flames and Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim.
